Cookie notice
What's On in Eastbourne sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why the site has no cookie banner.

In short
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. The guide counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies and without building a profile of you, so you can browse every page without anything being stored for tracking.
Other services
| Service | When | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Every visit | Hosts the site. To tell people from automated traffic, it may set a strictly necessary security cookie, such as __cf_bm, which lasts up to 30 minutes. |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | When you use a form | Checks that a real person is sending the form, using information from your browser. It is used only for that check. |
| Google Maps | Only when you tap Show map on an event | Loads the map from Google, which may set its own cookies. Nothing loads from Google until you ask. See how Google uses cookies. |
Saved on your device
While you fill in the Submit your event form, your answers and the route you chose are saved in your browser's own storage, on your device only, so nothing is lost if you leave the page. The answers are cleared once the form is sent, and they never reach What's On in Eastbourne until you press send.
Your choices
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies and stored data in its settings. The ICO's guide to cookies explains how. Blocking the Cloudflare security cookie may mean an extra check on the forms.
